Based in the firm’s Chester office, Rob joined the practice in 2011 as a graduate surveyor and achieved chartered status in 2016.
Working primarily in contract administration, dilapidations and exit strategies with both landlords and occupiers, Rob’s role involves helping clients to save money, reduce their liabilities and resolve disputes.
He has been leading on projects for clients mainly within the retail and industrial sectors, and has been helping to secure additional business with both new and existing clients.
Martin Hunt, head of our Chester office, said Rob’s promotion was well deserved:
“Rob is a strong ‘all-rounder’ in terms of building consultancy expertise and has developed some excellent client relationships and demonstrated a high level of technical and commercial understanding, well deserving of recognition. He is also a great team player who is able to help and mentor junior members of staff while also being a valuable support for the senior team, and we all congratulate him on the promotion.”
The majority of our employees have ‘come up through the ranks’, many from graduate through to senior staff, including at partner level. Investment in training is crucial to ensure we have the right quality of surveyors working in the practice, providing the very highest levels of service to our exacting client base.
Our clients have an expectation of how we operate, and put their trust in the quality of our analysis and advice in support of their business plan. As one of the many ‘home-grown’ talents in our team, we are very proud of Rob’s achievements and will continue working with him to move forward towards an associate position.
“Working directly with clients and putting together solutions for their, sometimes very complex, problems has been a fascinating experience and allowed me to become a genuinely trusted advisor. I am very pleased to have achieved the targets and standards expected of me by the senior team, whose training and support has been so invaluable, and am delighted that my commitment and hard work has been rewarded with this promotion.”
