I’m the Managing Partner of the practice and based in our London office, after founding Powell Williams in 1990. It’s incredibly rewarding to see an idea develop into a successful business through the collective input of talented people.

Specialising in technical due diligence as well as the repair, preservation and enhancement of historic buildings, I have been involved with several schemes which were recognised with Civic Trust Awards.

    • repair and restoration of Grade I Newark Town Hall and Buttermarket retail complex, £700,000
    • repair and refurbishment of Grade II listed hotel, Chester, £1.2m
    • condition survey and repair of Grade II* Elizabethan timber framed building, Shrewsbury, £200,000, Civic Trust Award winner
    • conversion of a redundant cotton mill into HQ offices, Grade II listed, 50,000 sq.ft, Macclesfield, £1.3m
  • Leading a team of consultants for:
    • insurance reinstatement cost assessments for property portfolio throughout UK, 5m sq.ft, £850m
    • pre-acquisition surveys on portfolio of 33 offices throughout UK, 1.4m sq.ft
    • pre-acquisition surveys on portfolio of 10 offices in South East England, £230m
  • Leading team of consultants in peer reviews of vendors reports for the purchasing of St Katharine Docks, London, 750,000 sq.ft
  • Leading team for pre-lease condition surveys on 70 sites for Sainsbury’s Local city centre stores
  • Leading teams for acquisition condition surveys on shopping centres in Nuneaton, Blackburn, Southampton, Birmingham, Milton Keynes, totalling 2.5m sq.ft
