I have spent the majority of my working life in private practice.

With broad-based experience focusing on party wall and neighbourly matters, dilapidations (acting on behalf of both landlord and tenant), contract administration and project monitoring, I’ve worked on projects up to £10m, ranging from a new build scheme of a private residence, school extension through to a boutique hotel.


  • Building owner’s party wall surveyor for complex projects, such as:
    • residential apartments with associated neighbourly matters on various challenging tight site areas, Central London, £10m+
    • electrical infrastructure project on a complex landlocked site, North London, £16m
  • Dilapidations surveyor, including exit strategy advice, acting for both landlord and tenant, with project values from £100k to £500k
  • Dilapidations advice:
    • enabling the tenant to operate its ‘break clause’ to exit office premises prior to full term expiry, London, negotiated 50% of final claim
    • acting for the tenant, a leading German tap manufacturer, whereby the cost of the claim was reduced significantly, Rainham, £500,000 saving
  • Contract administrator for:
    • five class school extension, South Ockendon, £800,000
    • construction of 5 bed boutique hotel, Halstead, £500,000
    • private residence roof repairs and replacement, Docklands, £150,000
  • Project/fund monitoring for the construction of 106 bed hotel, Liverpool, £8m
  • Project management of car servicing/MOT buildings under D&B contracts, nationwide, £900k per unit
