1980s open streetscape shopping centre on ground and first floor with two levels of lower basement car parking. We carried out an inspection of the property and peer review of the vendor’s building survey report to provide technical advice to the client on the proposed acquisition.
The vendor’s report was completed while significant repair works were being carried out to the car park levels, preventing access and comment on these areas in the report. Works were complete by the time the property came to the market, but the report had not been updated to provide comment on the works carried out. We obtained and reviewed the missing information to fill the gap between the vendor’s report and completed works to ensure the client had full technical understanding of these important income producing areas of the centre and that the purchase price was reflective of the completed works. This was completed within the deal imposed 4-week deadline.
