Summary

Darren Ward, Powell Williams London-based partner, who oversaw the project said:
“This is an iconic modernist building which has been recognised for its individuality with bespoke structure, which was ground breaking for its time. Given Grade II-listed status in 2013, the structure comprises steel pillars supporting a steel frame from which the roof and full height glazed panels are suspended. Finished in a bright yellow, the building is immediately recognisable among locals and appeared in Renault advertising campaigns for a number of years.”
