Assistant Surveyor | London Office

December 2025
What sparks my working fire is variety, challenge, and the chance to keep learning on the job. I’ve never been one for a boring role, and as an assistant building surveyor I enjoy that every project brings something new to learn, whether it’s a different type of building, a new issue to get my head around, or learning from more experienced colleagues. I’m particularly motivated by the learning curve of the profession and I’m eager to become chartered, as it represents building confidence in my technical knowledge and judgement over time, and being able to take real ownership of my work and the advice I give. Working on varied and interesting projects keeps the role exciting and, more often than not, provides great stories to take beyond the office, which makes it all the more rewarding.
Outside of work, I enjoy throwing myself into new hobbies and creative projects, whether they last ten minutes and quietly sit in a drawer for the rest of the year, I won’t disclose. I’m also passionate about travel and adventure, having swum with sharks in Cape Town, hiked a volcano in Bali, gone coasteering in the Algarve, bungee jumped into a waterfall, and camped overnight in Kruger National Park, I am always ever ready and planning my next adventure.
