I have experience across all disciplines of building surveying, including contract administration, building pathology, condition surveys, dilapidations and historic buildings in both the public and private sector. Since joining Powell Williams I have also completed a large number of insurance reinstatement projects on both commercial and residential properties.

Additionally, I have previously spent time working overseas for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office on the procurement and delivery of their new British High Commission in Malaysia.

  • Project management of the new model British High Commission, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, £2.5m contract value
  • Project surveyor on refurbishment and alteration works to Grade I listed almshouse, Bath, £600k
  • Assisted with pre-acquisition and vendor surveys on behalf of investment funds including offices, retail parks and shopping centres across the Midlands region
  • Project management and contract administration for:
    • a number of insurance reinstatement works, a result of fire damage and contaminated ground, c 13,000 sq.ft, nationwide, £50k-£360k contract values
    • refurbishment and alteration works to offices of large supplier to the construction industry, 15,000 sq.ft, West Midlands, £300k contract values
  • Dilapidations advice and preparation of schedules of condition on behalf of numerous landlords and tenants
  • Lead consultant on:
    • over-roofing works to industrial and office buildings, 47,000 sq.ft, Wiltshire, £270,000 contract value
    • alteration works to modern office buildings, Birmingham
    • a number of Ministry of Justice properties including courts (including a scheduled monument), administrative and prison buildings, nationwide
  • Project team member for large scale planned preventative maintenance surveys for both private medical organisations and the educational institutions of local authorities, nationwide
