Summary

A Grade II listed building, dating from the Victorian period.  We were appointed by the landlord to prepare and negotiate dilapidations prior to lease end, and as lead consultant to devise and implement the reconfiguration of the internal layouts for the incoming tenant, Zara. As the building was situated above Roman ruins, specialist scanning equipment was utilised in order to satisfy the local authority archaeologist as to the proposed positioning of lift and escalator pits.

Result

The scheme was completed to a tight programme, ready for the incoming tenant’s works. Our coordination of the tenant’s construction team ensured the scheme was completed on programme despite the tenant’s requested alterations to the proposed layout. Listed building consent was also achieved for this sensitive site through the input of our specialist historic building consultancy.
