Summary
We were appointed as lead consultant in the repair, upgrade and refurbishment of this prestigious Grade II listed hotel and leisure spa. Following detailed surveys to assess the condition of the building’s fabric and structure, we devised and oversaw the repair and refurbishment of the entire hotel on a rolling programme over 35 weeks.
Result
The internal refurbishment involved upgrading of bathrooms and bedrooms, function rooms and wedding suites whilst the hotel continued to trade, resulting in a limited impact to revenue. Following the refurbishment scheme, occupancy rates increased significantly to in excess of 90%+ along with increased bookings for weddings and functions. The venue’s TripAdvisor rating also improved.
