This development comprised 12 retail units with 24 residential flats above. The site included an adjoining student accommodation block of 230 bedrooms occupying an island site. We carried out the pre-acquisition survey, reviewing the lease, title documentation and warranties. Careful consideration was given to the developments position, built above the Docklands Light Railway.
Whilst no significant defects were identified to the building fabric, our co-ordinated targeted structural reviews enabled the client to fully understand the implications of the development being constructed over the DLR.
