Reinstatement Cost Assessments
Portfolios
288 properties / circa £245m rebuild Role
Reinstatement cost assessments for insurance purposes were completed on 288 supported living properties in three tranches. Inspections of each property were carried out to assess the construction and gather key data, including gross external area measurements, to allow detailed rebuild assessments to be carried out using BCIS cost data. Properties were located throughout England along with six within the Belfast area. They were a mixture of single and multiple occupancy bungalows, houses, converted flats, purpose built flats and a small number of more specialist care home facilities.
A team of surveyors from all 4 offices delivered this instruction, with a centralised co-ordinated approach to ensure consistency throughout the portfolio. Clear lines of communication were established with the client team to efficiently manage data exchange and access arrangements. The inspections were carried out in three tranches, based on geography, need and accessibility, with tight deadlines met.
