We remodelled the upper four floors of this five-storey building and created a new communal roof terrace for use by tenants, ensuring both ground-floor retail units were able to remain open for business. The office floors were vacant prior to commencement. We managed the strip out, which enabled the removal of half floors in the stairwell and rebuilding of the restroom facilities. The ground floor reception area was revamped to create an impressive welcome, while a new bike storage, shower and changing facility was also installed in the basement.
The project evolved somewhat from our initial involvement due to planning considerations which required additional budget. We worked closely with the client and the contractor to revise the plans, ensure best value and reduce any knock-on delay to completion. The renovation was high end to attract the sort of tenants looking at this part of London.
