OkThe co-ordination of health and safety in design during the life of a construction project is governed by the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
Non-compliance with CDM 2015 may result in criminal liability, for which the maximum penalty is an unlimited fine or two years’ imprisonment or both. So whether you’re simply fitting out your new premises, constructing a housing development, or building a retail park, it is imperative to get it right.
We act as Principal Designer to bring together all the design health and safety risks, and communicate them to the project team members and contractors. Any residual risks remaining concerning the use, maintenance and future alteration/demolition of the works, are recorded in the Health and Safety File.
By working collaboratively with all parties and being an integral part of the design process, we maximise the effectiveness of our role and ensure that design decisions impact positively on the project for those building it, and for the eventual end users.
Our staff are appropriately trained and experienced to act as either CDM Advisor, Principal Designer or to provide assistance to the named Principal Designer to ensure full compliance with the CDM Regulations.
